Do you find it hard sometimes to live as a Christian should? Do you struggle to maintain a Christlike attitude when people disappoint you or hurt you? You’re not alone; we all do, sometimes.
The secret is in this verse. "𝘼𝙗𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙈𝙚," Jesus said, "𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙞𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪." Stay close to Jesus. Draw your life from Him, the way a branch draws the life-giving sap from the vine. As you abide in Jesus the Holy Spirit will flow through you and produce the fruit of the Spirit, the character traits of the Lord Himself, in you.
It’s impossible to be like Jesus without the flow of His Spirit that reproduces His character in us. And it’s impossible for the Holy Spirit to flow through us unless we stay close, connected, joined to Him.
Keep short accounts with God. Don’t let any sin cloud your relationship with Him. As soon as the Holy Spirit points out something that isn’t right, deal with it in confession and repentance. Forgiveness is assured in Jesus. The life-flow will continue.
Stay in the Word. Let the Holy Spirit speak it into your heart as you read. The attitude of your heart and everything else will take care of itself, as you stay close to Jesus.
