"And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide Himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it,' when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left."

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30:20-21‬

We all face times of hardship. They come to every one of us, and sometimes to all of us at once. Some of us are in one of those times now. But through it all the Lord is still speaking to us in our hearts, leading us in the way, teaching us what we need to know, giving us wisdom and discernment as we continue to walk the path before us with Him.

After it’s over we find ourselves saying, “I learned so much during that time!” We even thank God for those difficult times and hardships after we’ve gone through them. He is our Teacher, and nothing comes to us without a reason, in His purpose for our lives.

Even though we don’t understand what He’s doing or why He’s allowing things to happen at the time, we know that we can trust Him. As we continue faithfully listening we will learn what He wants us to know.

Let His Word speak in your heart. Keep your thumb in the Book. Keep your heart in an attitude of prayer, and you will hear His voice: “This is the way; walk in it.”

Lord, thank You for being my Teacher, my guide, my “comforter who comes alongside to help.” Keep my heart open to Your voice. Give me ears to hear and eyes to see what You are teaching me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
