"And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on Me, on Him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over Him, as one weeps over a firstborn."

‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭12:10‬

The day will come, and it’s fast approaching, when these words will be fulfilled. Many in Israel will come to realize the terrible loss of the national failure to receive the Messiah when He first came. There will be a spirit of saving grace as many come to trust in Him in the secret place of their own hearts, and pleas for mercy from God as they quietly pray for the salvation of the rest of Israel.

Paul wrote in Romans 11:15, “For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?” It sounds to me like he’s saying that the next item on the agenda, after this massive coming to faith in Israel, will be the resurrection.

Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
