"Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to Whom belong wisdom and might.

He changes times and seasons;

He removes kings and sets up kings;

He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding;

He reveals deep and hidden things;

He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.” - Daniel‬ ‭2:20-22

God is in charge. He removes and sets up the rulers of this earth as He wills. The Bible goes so far as to say, “...there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭13:1‬). If you don’t like who’s in charge, pray for him. Put him in God’s hands and wait.

He changes times and seasons. Geopolitics and the rise and fall of empires belong to Him. Global warming, or the new ice age, or whatever it is that’s going on, belongs to Him. Don’t be afraid; put your concerns in God’s hands. Trust Him. God is in control.

Do we need wisdom to combat a pandemic? Is a giant asteroid hurtling towards the earth? “He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” Put it in God’s hands and at the right time understanding will be revealed to the researchers. God is in charge.

Are you hearing about secret plots and conspiracies behind the scenes? “He reveals deep and hidden things. He knows what is in the darkness.” Trust Him; don’t be afraid. God is in control.

Lord Jesus, You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords; nothing is beyond Your control. You know the truth about things that I can’t imagine, and from the most enormous to the microscopic, it’s all in Your hand. Lord, I will trust You. Help me to be faithful in what You have called me to do and leave the rest in Your care. Amen.
