“Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

During this time of isolation I have been encouraged by discovering that the Lord has been raising up within our congregation a number of pray-ers who have taken it on themselves to uphold us all in prayer.

We need this ministry in our church always, of course, and it has been a hallmark of Calvary from the beginning, that there has always been a faithful group of prayer-warriors.  But when we can’t gather together as we normally do, this need becomes especially acute.

The “fervent labor” of prayer for our fellow members is one way that God causes His life to flow through the whole body of Christ, each member doing its part to contribute to the growth and health of the whole body.

Thank you, dear faithful pray-ers.  Don’t stop!  Keep it up!  We need you.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the ministry of those who quietly labor in prayer for all of us.  Keep us on the way of eternal life, so that we can become spiritually mature and full-grown in doing all that You would have us do.
