"Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life." - ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4:23


Guard your heart. Keep it pure. Don’t let sinful thoughts, entertainment, friendships, or attitudes take root in your heart. Keep short accounts with God. Confess sin and repent as soon as you become aware of it.

Flee sinful desires; don’t dwell on them. Stay in the center of God’s will; don’t see how close to the edge you can get. Don’t play footsie with the devil. Don’t play with the devil’s toys.

These are all different ways of saying the same thing: keep your heart relationship with Jesus as clear and open as possible. Sin has nothing to offer you any more! You’ve been bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus.


You’ve been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and brought into His glorious kingdom of light. Stay close to Jesus.


Lord, forgive my sinful heart that so easily wanders away from You. Make me sensitive to Your voice as You call to me, to lead, guide and comfort me. Hold me close, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
