"Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things." - Hebrews 13:18
The Apostle Paul isn’t asking for prayer that he and the other Apostles might have a clear conscience; he knows he and they do have that. They have been working as honorably as a group of saved sinners can, looking to the Lord for guidance, trusting Him to correct them if they are on the wrong path, and seeking the best for the congregations and the people entrusted to their care.
In two days we will have our congregation’s quarterly meeting, where we give reports to the congregation about the work we are doing and how we are spending the money given sacrificially in offerings by God’s people.
We know that we have a clear conscience. We know that the members of the congregation trust us as leaders in the church. We need your prayers.
Pray for us, for the church, and for God’s work to be done in God’s way.
Lord Jesus, You have called us to be a congregation here in this place. You have called forth leaders and faithful people who give and pray and work. Be with us as we gather to seek Your face as a congregation. Amen! Pastor Dan Giles
