"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:38-39‬

Christians have drawn comfort from these words for 2,000 years. In spite of government decrees that establish unrighteousness laws, in spite of sicknesses and epidemics, wars, persecution, hardship and poverty; no matter what the world can throw at us we know that we can never be cut off from the love of God. And if God is all-powerful, always present, intimately concerned with my life, and loves me, I know I’ll be alright.

Have you ever noticed that verse 48 starts with the word “for” ?  For means “because.”  “For“ ties verse 38 to verse 37: “...In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Because...”. (Insert the above verse here.)

Because the love of almighty God is forever mine, I will more than conquer whatever life brings me. I can’t lose, because nothing can remove or even reduce my Heavenly Father’s loving care for me.

Thank You, Dear Father, for making me Your child in Jesus, forever. Amen.
